Honesdale is a historic town with a rich railroad history that has become known as "The Birthplace of the American Railroad." A full-sized replica of the famous Stourbridge Lion, the first locomotive to run on track in America, sits in the Wayne County Historical Museum, at 810 Main Street. Honesdale has many other points of interest including its historic Main Street and Church Street, Central Park, the historic Wayne County Courthouse, the Wayne County Visitor Center and Irving Cliff.
